Ruhrverband has alien plant species removed from Lake Harkort

On Monday 16 February, work will begin on the right bank of Lake Harkort up to the Wetter water level to remove alien plant species (so-called neophytes). The Ruhrverband has commissioned the measure as part of its maintenance obligations; it has been authorised by the authorities and is being monitored ecologically by the Büro für Umweltplanung Artenreich. If everything goes as planned, the work will be completed by the breeding season. 

The Ruhrverband asks for your understanding for any restrictions on recreational use, for example due to short-term path closures.
