The film titles marked in blue can be previewed in the specified length:

  • Film"Fließgewässer", which the Institute for Film and Image in Science and Education published in 1976 in the form of a 16 mm film. However, many media centres have now withdrawn this film from active distribution, as this film format is hardly ever used in schools.
You can borrowthe film free of chargein DVD format at [email protected].
The footage was taken from the Mettma, a Black Forest stream that was heavily polluted by brewery wastewater and classified as polysaprobic at the time this film was made. But before the self-purification is shown, organisms of the macrozoobenthos are collected from the still unpolluted area. They are used to demonstrate adaptation strategies to the flow and oxygen content.
