In addition to an overview of the entire catchment area, there is a site plan for each dam, which shows important data relevant to the management of a dam: Total inflow or individual inflows into the reservoir, reservoir height and reservoir content data as well as the degree of filling and discharge from the reservoir. With this information, a simple balancing of the increase or decrease in the reservoir content is possible.
Due to its length of 219 kilometres, the current discharge of the Ruhr is shown in two areas: the image of the upper Ruhr covers the area up to Bachum, that of the lower and middle Ruhr covers the area from Bachum to the mouth of the Ruhr into the Rhine. As the main tributary of the Ruhr, the Lenne is particularly important during floods. The flood hazard limits of the town of Altena show the effects on the areas at risk of flooding along the banks of the Lenne to the nearest centimetre from a water level of 2 metres at the Altena gauge.
