Are you studying an engineering or scientific subject and want to combine science and practice? Then we offer you the opportunity to write your dissertation or thesis at the Ruhrverband. Here you will come into contact with experienced water management experts and can enrich your work with the practical relevance that is often required.

The topic of your thesis should overlap as closely as possible with the core competences of the Ruhrverband. In principle, topics relating to urban water management, hydraulic engineering, hydrology, water chemistry, aquatic ecology and related areas are welcome. However, we also welcome proposals for theses or dissertations in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and computer science.

In particularly justified exceptional cases, theses on topics outside the core competences can also be prepared.

As a rule, the Ruhrverband does not advertise student research projects or theses. You should therefore submit an unsolicited application with a clear, detailed description of the topic and the desired time period.
