The Ruhrverband relies on the protection of whistleblowers to report possible violations of legal regulations - be it in the area of corruption, fraud or breaches of environmental protection, occupational health and safety or personal rights. Suspicious cases can be reported by both employees and outsiders via an anonymous reporting platform. The protection of confidentiality and the safeguarding of personal rights are of paramount importance. The software used complies with both the Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and incoming reports are processed by the Ruhrverband's internal audit department.
