Protection against and defence against corruption are an integral part of corporate governance at Ruhrverband. We are aware of our responsibility as a public company and deal with the issue transparently.

A corresponding instruction sets out measures to sensitise employees and to prevent and combat corruption and regulates the specific procedure in the event of suspicion. In addition, Ruhrverband follows the recommendations for preventing corruption in the federal administration and has therefore systematically analysed all areas of work with regard to their specific risk of corruption. The existing instruments for protection against corruption are regularly reviewed for their effectiveness. In addition to these measures, the procurement guidelines applicable to Ruhrverband ensure a transparent, economical and competitive approach to public procurement.

In accordance with Section 16 in conjunction with Section 1 (1) No. 4 of the German Anti-Corruption Act, the members of the Ruhrverband's executive bodies provide information on, among other things, consultancy contracts, membership of supervisory boards and executive bodies and functions in associations.
