The central maintenance department - IME for short - is conveniently located at the A40/45 motorway junction in Dortmund Oespel. In addition to the regional workshops and their work areas, a department with around 80 employees has been established here, which is responsible for special tasks. Specialised working groups take care of the maintenance of larger pumps, drives and the digester gas systems, including combined heat and power plants. As a certified specialised welding company, extensive work, in particular pipeline construction, is also carried out by certified welders. In electrical engineering, the company specialises in PLC programming, tasks in the field of process control technology, 10-KV switchgear and safety-related explosion protection.

In addition to the workshops, there is an extensive warehouse in which spare and replacement parts are kept. This ensures that damaged units or system components can be repaired quickly in the event of damage.

Practical training
The central workshop in Dortmund-Oespel is also a central training centre of the Ruhrverband for industrial mechanics and electronics technicians for industrial engineering. More than 20 young people are continuously trained in Dortmund. The variety of work and workshops at this location offer highly qualified and interesting training with a high degree of practical relevance and guaranteed employment. These young people will form the backbone of the plant's operations in the future.
